The great Bob Dylan once sang “don’t criticize what you can’t understand.” I’ve certainly been guilty of this in the past, but recently I’ve been making conscious efforts to right my ways.
First, I followed in the footsteps of many “Long Island All Stars” and became a BlackBerry user. I used to despise self-absorbed BBM zombies (check out my 2008 “BlackBerry Nation Investigation” film) until I transformed into one. I’ll never go back.
Then there was the start of my blogging journey. I used to hate blogs for their overabundance, lack of credibility, and threats to traditional journalism, but first-hand new-media experience has helped me creatively progress and share my thoughts in an exciting forum.
Now, I’ve decided to make the bold leap into the world of Twitter. I’ve done nothing but trash this site in the past, but I figured it’s time to embrace it. While I don’t expect to accumulate many followers, it will be interesting to gain closer access into the minds of some celebrities with personalities and opinions I actually do value (sorry, Ashton Kutcher). I’m new to this game, so it will probably take me a while to see if this is something I really care to pursue. For now, I’ll give ‘er a shot.
My feed is located on the left side of this homepage. If you’re a Twitter user…become a follower (http://twitter.com/AndrewBank) If not, you’re probably far wiser than I.
